An elite collegiate engineering program designing, manufacturing, and competing with high-voltage formula racecars and heavy-duty all-terrain buggies. Engineered by students, powered by precision.
Bridging elite collegiate research with high-performance automotive prototyping.
Based in Charlottesville, VA, our team comprises undergraduate students collaborating across disciplines to design, analyze, manufacture, and test two custom racecars annually.
Operating out of the advanced engineering labs at the University of Virginia School of Engineering, our members gain hands-on expertise in composite layup, structural analysis, battery management systems, and embedded software architectures.
Formula SAE and Baja SAE challenge us to think like industry executives. Beyond manufacturing physical racecars, we manage sponsorships, allocate project capital, conduct marketing, and defend complex design reports to panels of automotive experts at national competition matches.
We recruit ambitious students from all disciplines—engineering, business, marketing, design, and operations. No prior motorsports experience is required.
